River Wye - Ross to Kerne Bridge

This was a very pleasant trip though the strong headwind did make progress a little hard at times. It did mean however, the open paddlers had the opportunity to experiment with boat trim. There were two highlights - a relaxed lunch on a beach in the sun, sheltered from the wind and the attempts to break-out behind a boulder mid river which turned out to be a very large hay bale - river haystacks took on a whole new meaning!

Thanks for the photos Judy.
