On May 25th, a small group of us braved the rain to paddle from Ross-on-Wye to Symonds Yat. Zoe brought along the sail for her open and a one point the whole group was rafted up and under sail - albeit not very quickly! The somewhat soggy lunch stop was fun rather than grim and in the afternoon we practiced breaking in and breaking out. Nothing very special perhaps but it's the first time I've done so while rafted up! Ruth got to grips with keeping an open canoe running straight using 'J' strokes. We'll convert her yet!
